Ceylon tea is the classic Sri Lankan black tea: bright, brisk and full of flavour. Akbar Gold comes from Akbar Brothers, the family tea company that has become one of Sri Lanka’s biggest tea exporters, and it brews a rich, malty cup.
Use one teaspoon per cup and freshly boiled water, and brew for 3 to 4 minutes. Lovely plain, with milk, or with fresh mint the Egyptian way. The tin keeps the leaves fresh; close it well after use.
